We wish to thank all the artists who have appeared on the Popkomm Showcase Festival programme this year for some fantastic performances. Thanks also to all our partners for some great events too.

Remember that you can still see some of our acts on the Berlin Festival line-up this weekend so all you lucky people who managed to get your tickets in time, make sure you catch The Cast Of Cheers, The Megaphonic Thrift, Spleen United, Therese Aune, De Staat, Yes Cadets, Rich Aucoin, and Jesse for more great music.

Popkomm will return on 7-9 September 2011 but watch out for other showcases, parties and events we will be planning throughout the year.

AND SO I WATCH YOU FROM AFAR (Ireland)

Terrible news on such an exciting day here at Popkomm Centre, Tempelhof with the announcement that the brilliant And So I Watch You From Afar must cancel their two appearances at Popkomm on Wednesday 8th and Thursday 9th. This is due to a painful shoulder injury for one of the members of the band who is under medical instruction to rest completely. We are very sad to have to deliver this news as the band has been one of the most anticipated acts on the programme, but we wish a speedy recovery and hope to see ASIWYFA back in Berlin very soon.

The VISIONS night will go ahead as planned with a line-up which is still quite amazing of Kellermensch, Murmansk, and The Megaphonic Thrift. Not bad at all!

KissFM presents the Popkomm showcase taking place at Passionskirche, Kreuzberg on Thursday 9th September. The show features Jully Black (Canada), Massimo Di Cataldo (Italy) and Gorchitza (Ukraine). Doors are at 19:30, show starts at 20:00. Don’t miss it!

DELHI 2 DUBLIN (Canada)

Popkomm act, Delhi 2 Dublin have just won the inaugural Galaxie Supernova Award at the 2010 Ottawa Folk Festival. Congratulations to the guys. You can catch their Popkomm appearances at Silverwings on Wednesday 8th and Thursday 9th.
