POPKOMM GOES TO GURTEN

Popkomm is spending the weekend as a guest of the Swiss Music Export Office at the very lovely Gurten Festival in Bern/Berne. As well as seeing some great acts over the 3 days we will be there, we will also be meeting with Swiss music business friends and folk. RICH AUCOIN CONFIRMED FOR POPKOMM AND BERLIN FESTIVAL

The very talented Rich Aucoin (led by Rich Aucoin) will lead the Canadian charge at Popkomm this year. Following a great performance at this year’s Great Escape festival, we are thrilled to add them to our programme for 2010 as well as include the band as one of Popkomm’s recommended artists at Berlin Festival. Result!



FATBOY SLIM CONFIRMED FOR BERLIN FESTIVAL

Norman Cooke, A.K.A. Fatboy Slim, has been added to what already seemed to be a packed line-up at Berlin Festival this year.

More Popkomm artists have also been announced for the Berlin Festival line-up. De Staat, Spleen United, Therese Aune, Cast Of Cheers and Yes Cadets are all performing there. More news about this and other artists HERE



MORE POPKOMM ARTISTS IN THE BAG

Lots of new artists have been added to the Popkomm showcase festival programme. To start with, from Ireland, we will bring And So I Watch You From Afar, Yes Cadets, and Cast Of Cheers. From the Faroe Islands we present The Ghost (pictured), and Budam. We are also excited to include Spleen United from Denmark, De Staat from Netherlands, and Therese Aune from Norway.

These acts are added to a programme that already includes I Got You On Tape (Denmark), Laura Jansen (Netherlands/USA), Film (Greece), Iiris (Estonia), Instrumenti (Latvia), Jesse (Finland), Kellermensch (Denmark), Murmansk (Finland), Pintandwefall (Finland), The Black Atlantic (Netherlands), and The Megaphonic Thrift (Norway). More acts will be announced very soon.
